Climate
Reducing greenhouse gas emissions is crucial to meeting the Paris Agreement’s climate targets and the Pars Group’s sustainability ambitions. One of the most important actions we can take is to reduce our industrial emissions. Developing solutions that reduce the carbon footprint is therefore the highest priority in our sustainability strategy.
The key focus areas for reducing our climate footprint within our operations are energy use, waste, and chemicals.
Our goal is to reduce energy use by 5% annually. We monitor our total energy use monthly and measure electricity consumption on our most electricity-intensive machines in real time, to ensure that we address the major energy consumers.
We also work to incorporate more high-strength material into our products, which results in both a longer product service life and a lighter design that, in turn, reduces fuel consumption for the machine the product belongs to. Our Eco-line excavator buckets are an example of this: a 750-litre ECO-Line excavator bucket weighs approximately 95 kg less than the standard excavator buckets.

Resources
Our planet’s resources are limited. Our ambition is to lead by example. Circularity is an important factor in a large part of our work to improve resource efficiency.
We recycle all our residual waste and recover waste heat from our machines to heat our premises. Continuously working to increase sheet utilisation in our cutting machines is another important part of our efforts to become more circular.

Safety has always been the highest priority in everything we do. We have a vision of zero accidents at our workplaces and with our products. We believe that workplace accidents, incidents, and work-related illnesses can be prevented in order to minimise both physical and psychological risks.
Our leadership is based on caring for others and a selfless commitment to good collaboration, with the aim of delivering, improving, and learning. Our leaders’ most important task is to strengthen employees’ conditions, capability, and attitude.
Our overarching ambition is to harness the potential of every employee and use our individual and collective strengths to drive our current operations and transform in a way that meets tomorrow’s business needs. We develop our employees’ skills and encourage them to try new tasks.
