Climate
Reducing emissions of greenhouse gases is crucial to being able to meet the climate goals of the Paris Agreement and the sustainability ambitions of the Pars Group. One of the most important things we can do is to reduce our industrial emissions. The development of solutions that reduce the carbon footprint therefore has the highest priority in our sustainability strategy.
The most important focus areas for reducing the climate footprint within our operations are energy use, waste and chemicals.
Our goal is to annually reduce energy use by 5%. We follow up our total energy use monthly and measure the electricity consumption of our most electricity-intensive machines in real time, this to ensure that we address the large energy consumers.
We also work to get more high-strength material into our products, which means both a longer life for the product but also a lighter construction, which in turn reduces the fuel consumption of the machine to which the product belongs. Our brand Eco-line buckets are an example of this, a 750 liter ECO-Line bucket weighs approx. 95 kg less than the standard buckets.
Resources
Our planet’s resources are limited. Our ambition is to lead by example. Circularity is an important factor in a large part of our work with improved resource efficiency.
We recycle all our residual waste and make use of waste heat from our machines for heating our premises. Constantly working for increased sheet utilization in our cutting machines is another important part of our endeavor to become more circular.
People
Security
Safety is always the highest priority in everything we do. We have a vision of zero accidents at our workplaces and with our products. We believe that workplace accidents, incidents and work-related illnesses can be prevented to minimize both physical and psychological risks.
Leadership
Our leadership is based on caring for others, an unselfish desire for good cooperation based on the goals of delivering, improving and learning. Our leaders’ most important task is to strengthen the employee’s conditions, ability and attitude.
